      • Official Ball For Sectional Championship Play: Spaulding Pro-Series (Item 41--100HS)
      • Run Rule: The Run Rule states that the game will end with a run differential of 10 runs after 5 innings (or 4 1⁄2 if the home team is winning). The run rule applies to all sectional playoff gamesregional playoff games, state semifinals and state finals. Each league has the ability to decide if it will use the run rule or not for regular season play.
        • NOTE: Section VI has decided NOT to use the run rule for regular season play this season.
      • P/DH Rule: NFHS 3-1-4:  Designated Hitter (DH) can be used in two ways. The DH can be listed as the tenth starter replacing one of the other nine players when it is their turn to bat. The other method is that any one of the starting defensive players can be their own DH (in effect having two positions) within the confines of the rule requirements.
      • Courtesy Runners: At any time, the team at bat may use courtesy runners for the pitcher and/or the catcher. Neither the pitcher nor the catcher will be required to leave the game under such circumstances.
      • Player Communication Equipment: The use of a one-way communication device between a coach in the dugout and a team’s catcher for the purposes of calling pitches will be permitted in high school baseball.
      • Practice Requirements: A student must practice 10 times before representing his school in a scrimmage or contest in the sport of baseball.
