      • 2020 Calendar
      • All Team Rosters must entered into the WNY Athletics website by April 1st.
      • Official Ball For Section Play:  Spaulding Pro-Series (Item 41--100HS)
      • 1-3-1: Modified the effective date that baseballs and catcher chest protectors shall meet a NOCSAE performance standard. (Effective January 1, 2020).
      • Run Rule: The Run Rule states that the game will end with a run differential of 10 runs after 5 innings (or 4 1⁄2 if the home team is winning). The run rule applies to all sectional playoff gamesregional playoff games, state semifinals and state finals. Each league has the ability to decide if it will use the run rule or not for regular season play.
        • NOTE: Section VI has decided not to use the run rule for regular season play this season.
      • P/DH Rule:The designated hitter and the pitcher may be the same person. If the pitcher bats for himself, he is treated as two separate positions – a pitcher and a designated hitter (abbreviated P/DH on the lineup card) – and may be substituted for as such (i.e. if a player who starts the game as the P/DH is relieved as the starting pitcher, he may not return to the mound even if he remains in the game as the DH, and he may not play any other defensive position after being relieved as pitcher.) This rule will be provided as another option for coaches to utilize.
      • Practice Requirtements: A student must practice 6 times before representing his/ her school in a scrimmage or contest in all sports except football, gymnastics, wrestling, baseball and fencing which require 10 practices.
