Section VI

To honor their late patriarch’s focus on integrity, philanthropy, and family, the DiPaolo Family has carried on in the steadfast belief that education, athletics, and community involvement are essential for success. 

With help from various community supporters and contributors, the DiPaolo Family created the Ilio DiPaolo Scholarship Fund in 1996.  Since that time, the Fund has grown significantly, currently contributing to more than 50 local charities and organizations annually in addition to providing support to both the Section VI State Wrestling Team and the Section VI Wrestling Club. 

The Ilio DiPaolo Scholarship Fund recognizes the accomplishments of Section VI student-athletes each year.  All of the student-athletes selected to receive this award uniquely distinguish themselves as leaders in their respective communities while earning their athletic and academic achievements. 

While the contributions of the DiPaolo Family to our families, the local community, and Section VI cannot be acknowledged adequately, the family’s dedication should inspire all to show their appreciation by embodying the values that best exemplify Ilio DiPaolo.  Namely, that as we achieve our own personal aspirations and the success that comes with it, that we always remember to give back to the family and community upon which our success has been based.
